Sustainability & Transparency

Made locally for you in Sydney, Australia - this item has been created using silk from a sustainable silk mill in Lake Como, Italy. This silk is GOTS Certified, using organic mulberry silks, no harmful insecticides or pesticides, and no chemicals during the weaving process. Dyeing and finishing follows GOTS environmental and toxicological criteria - any substances or eco-friendly dyes used are all certified. The branded natural shell buttons are made from real shell which is a byproduct of the food industry, subsequently reducing them ending up in landfill. Finally, the labels and swing tags used throughout our collection have also been produced consciously; for the labels, these are sourced from Italy and utilise yarns certified by the Global Recycled Standard, that have been created using recycled polyester from post consumer yarn, of which is OEKO TEX Standard 100 and all spinning, texturising, dyeing, up-twisting and trading processes carried out on the labels has been done so responsibly. For our swing tags, these are sourced from Hong Kong and are made exclusively with recycled paper.
